Some highlights from our work with Client Partners:

  • Youth Progress believes that young people in the juvenile justice and foster care systems are leaders, scholars, artists, athletes, and entrepreneurs. Established in 1964, Youth Progress is a diverse and inclusive community of staff and specially trained foster parents who provide youth ages 13 to 21 with safe and stable homes, and other customized supports as they transition into adulthood and community life. A to Be Partners provides Youth Progress with comprehensive grants management services, as well as support strengthening fundraising systems and annual fund development.

  • Council for the Homeless provides trauma-informed, culturally-responsive community leadership, compelling advocacy, and practical solutions to prevent and end homelessness in Clark County, Washington. Council for the Homeless helps people remain in their homes, secure safe shelter, address their basic needs, and even find new permanent homes. A to Be Partners provides comprehensive grant management support.

  • Founded in 1978, Eugene Ballet is a professional ballet company and academy based in Eugene, Oregon. As an ongoing partner, A to Be Partners has helped Eugene Ballet complete the capital campaign for its new Midtown Arts Center—a purpose-built flagship community arts center in downtown Eugene, develop and implement a comprehensive grants strategy, engage staff and board in strategic planning, assess and enhance organizational systems, and create an annual development plan to support the mission.

  • Located in Southern Oregon’s beautiful Applegate Valley, Sanctuary One is the first care farm in the nation. Sanctuary One has impacted the lives of thousands of visitors and volunteers, rescued hundreds of animals, and has worked to restore and steward the earth for generations to come. A to Be Partners provides comprehensive grant management services to help build the sustainable/scalable infrastructure needed to fulfill Sanctuary One’s mission and vision.

  • Made to Thrive, based in Hermiston, Oregon, is dedicated to ensuring every young person has the resources they need to access the life-changing power of play. A to Be Partners has helped Made to Thrive level up its grants program to successfully reach major funders, position itself for larger multi-year grants, fund its very first non-Executive Director hire, and support the campaigns for multiple capital improvement projects to create safe and accessible community recreation areas.

  • The Reser is a state-of-the-art, world-class arts & culture venue serving the entire region. A to Be Partners led the capital campaign grant strategy—from the initial grants feasibility study, through securing over $3.7 million in grants from foundations and government sources. With The Reser open and welcoming guests, A to Be Partners continues to support its programs and operations with comprehensive grant management services.

  • YWCA of Greater Portland is on a mission to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. YWCA is the largest and oldest multiracial women’s organization in the world and the largest provider of domestic violence services in the U.S. Since 1901, YWCA of Greater Portland has been a beacon of safety and community. A to Be Partners worked with YWCA during significant development team transition, provided comprehensive grants management, and supported the hiring and onboarding of a staff grant writer.

  • Founded in 1974, Clackamas Service Center has been a critical food security resource for low- and no-income people in east Portland and north Clackamas for generations. Since 2012, A to Be Partners has helped CSC grow its grants revenue by almost 800%, facilitated two strategic planning cycles, managed grants for a 2-site capital campaign, and supported a major trauma-informed program transformation.

I’ve worked with Tobey as a board member and I have reviewed grant proposals her team has written. In meetings, she is a skilled facilitator and consensus-builder. A to Be Partners knows how to get to the heart of the matter with grace and tact. Their grant writing is clear, concise and compelling.
